I'm 30 minutes into the 8th episode. Papa is a dumbass. When people are grieving then you don't mention the thing that they are discomfort about. Why is you bringing up the abductor at the table? Keisha ain't trying to think about that sht. This nigga messed up a good moment.
The only thing that will save the show is if they turn Kevin into a Marlo type character and Poppa into a Prop Joe.

Don’t matter the writer.... what’s ruining the show is turning it into some non sensical non linear informercial
I'm trying my best not to nitpick, but the messages are so heavy handed and forced until it takes away from the show.. You can tell each show what message they are trying to push.. it's amateurish.. I'm not sure what its even about anymore.. 2 questions though that maybe someday can answer.. When did Emmitts mom become so cool with Dre and Kevin's Mom? The first episode of season 1 she didn't know who Keisha was when she was hiding under the bed.. Also how did Sonny go from doing so well that he was opening up another restaurant and wanted Emmitt to manage one, to not being able to pay rent on one location?
It was good the first two seasons with that same writer, I just think background characters having to take on major roles messed things up
Emmit mom was cool with just Dre is what I got out of it. Wasn't last season Kevin's mom was still with that other chick but this season she's married to someone else. None of this makes any sense
