It's a small generation gap these days. I remember growing up; it was a big generation gap between the parents around me and us kids. My mama was/is nice but she laid the law down when we started to act outside the margin. I remember being a little kid and being bad in church. She'll calmly escort me or my siblings out of church service, heading towards the car and whoop our ass in the car lol. My mama used to listen to the solid gold odies station (Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin). Sometimes, we'll change the station to hip hop station. She didn't know what an 8ball & MJG was. These days, some parents and the child be listening to Blac Youngsta and rapping the whole mixtape together lol
