COMMUNITY Social Justice Thread: R.I.P. George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor & now Tyre Nichols

“Neither the Black radical, nor Black radical thought is given air time. Instead, we are forced to endure being talked about and having the revolution we fought for be defused and repackaged to be palatable to a white liberal audience"

“Black radicals are here to stay. Come up off that mic and get out before you get 'looted'. And take those Barack and Michelle posters with you. They never belonged to us"

That was a great fucking article!

Vids of cops gettin hit by cars is crazy.

Assuming they are real.

Alot of old or fake vids floatin around social media right now. Guy w atm tryn catch a bus is fake btw

I've read what I feel are some fucked up opinions. Fuck those burning businesses. Black people out here fighting for our lives and more and niggas worried about businesses. If black people get what we fighting for it will be easier for those businesses to rebuild or for more black people to actually get business loans. I choose my life and freedom over money all day everyday. Fuck that bullshit the Dream was talking about.

Also @DOS_patos really interested in your thread about this Jay-z phone call with the Minn gov. Cause I'm not seeing that as the power play that you are. Depending on who you know by 6 degrees of separation that ain't really hard to do.

I know for a fact I can get in contact with the mayor of DC Muriel Bowser without even using all 6 degrees of separation and I feel like I could get in contact with the gov of MD Larry Hogan as well, that would take more effort though.
you might be taking what im saying wrong.
no one is placing money over black lives. thats a very bad way of looking at this.

OUR people need to go be able to supply themselves or need sustenance while protesting.
OUR elderly and kids need food and basics and medicine. so stores can be skipped. its one video of people not allowing people to hit i think a target or something. its another with people protecting a wafflehouse. but saying to not hurt a black business is a problem?

what you said about if things get better than people can actually get loans......bruh but what about the meantime?
say everyone gets a leveled play field....its still a process to get loans and even banks are going to need to rebuild.

you saying fuck black businesses is saying fuck apart of what will help us become self sufficient..
why even go to those banks when black people will most likely give you the loan without funny looks or whatever.
people will become too dependent already on a system that may or may not work in our favor.
go after the system but dont burn potential bridges with your people...because you have to come back them people going back to theirs. why cant i want you to come back and have somewhere to grab some bread or eggs?

and what about all the people those businesses may support?

you cant fight a fight without supplies. i say this all the time.....everyone has a part to play in this.

dont know about you.....but when i say i dont trust none of this.....i dont.
quite a few people feel the same and we are prepared and been preparing to help our people when this ends.

lastly.....im not calling jayz phone call a power move. i said he made a power move...speaking about something else he did....that got their attention and gave him a different type of influence.

Attacking random black people who weren’t “looting” is wrong and cowardly.

I agree. I'm guessing the logic is that if they let any blacks come into the area that opens the door for the blacks who are rioting and looting to come into the area.

Right or wrong though, this is a foreseeable consequence. So, the people who think it's ok to destroy the Targets and Rite Aids and other stores that aren't black owned have to be ok with the fact that there are going to be people outside of the community that don't want to deal with the people in that community. And while it would be nice if black owned businesses rise up to replace those destroyed stores, it's not going to happen instantly.

there were peaceful protests here in Baton Rouge yesterday. There was even one organized by some high school kids which i thought was dope. They walked from a high school near the state capital and marched to the capital

law enforcement has been on pins and needles expecting shit to pop off due to a bunch of IG posts saying they were going to meet up and start trashing shit so they got on the riot gear but thankfully havent had to use it

Coon talk.

You're posting these, but where's the commentary? Do you think the Latin Kings are wrong? Do you think they are racist for seeing the looting that's happening in the black community and not wanting it brought to their area?
do you think they are wrong?

they said no looting but also no shopping.

they are protecting their supplies.

thats why they are attacking random black people.
as much as i hate seeing it......they staying on a code and protecting whats theirs.
