But I'm 46 years old and honestly I can't name 5 songs by Drake. I even bought his album Take Care and I couldn't listen to it. Too much singing.

Jay Z is waaaaaay better imo, but it's a generational thing. People 10-20 years younger than me might prefer Drake.

It's just like I'm probably the only one on the board that remembers when Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5 were the hottest group. If you don't remember Jay Z in his prime, you might like Drake better.

1. Drake has no music that it's 20 years old to be able to make the comparison. So what are we talking about here?

2. If you had asked me 20 years ago if Big Pimping - as dope as it was - would still get shit going 20 years later, I'd have said no.

Drake broke about as a mainstream act about 07 - 09 ... thats over a decade as a recording artiste ...there's nothing he has released as a hit single to me that'll touch whatever JAY-Z has produced



I guess probably it's a generational thing...

That is not debatable. Drake has more hits than Jay-Z. Like...at a certain point, my disdain for drake has to give way to the fact that if we are asking who has more hits...Drake has MANY MANY MANY more hits.

Based on hits? I’d give it to Jay easily, cause a lot of Drake “hits” are trash. But if you did it based on their 20 best songs, that would be tough.
 
You guys know songs like Can I Live and Allure are not hit records. Have you guys even looked at Jay Hot 100 entries. Drake will wash this nigga.
