@AP21, I don't mean to keep bringing you in here....you see that I've been going hard on this for about a month now...but everyday these dudes come up with the new ways to be assholes. Like you said, you don't come in here so it doesn't really affect you day to day. But it affects the regular users here.... your users, veterans and new folks, many of whom, because the traffic and post count is so high, may never even see the rules for posting, your warnings, or my admonitions.

Bro, there is only one solution. None of this is going to stop until someone - me - stops it, or at least is given real power to try like hell to control it.

being completely honest, the fact that the request thread and the drop thread are 2 separate entities make things a lot more obnoxious to navigate. Like I understand the desire to keep things "clear" but I don't think that it'll ever really happen.
Do people honour requests in the request thread? do they post it in this thread? it's all silly and way too many steps.

Granted I don't really request, but eh.

Welp, guess that's that. The man has spoken. No new mods and y'all gotta watch out for yourselves.

My advice stands: install Universal Bypass for ad links, avoid Discords, don't buy anything from anyone in here, ignore requests or direct requests to the request thread.

I personally won't skip anymore links for others. Without the ability to delete the original posts, it's a waste of time at this point.

The assholes win. Congrats.

Well it looks like this thread has officially gone to shit. It was nice talking to some of you and as for the lames with the ad links, discords, reddit links you fools can kick rocks. And for the snitch ass Simps in here who being low key. I hope your mother stops doing your fucken laundry and paying your bills.

I get his point that there's really no way to stop it all, but any improvement would be just that...an improvement...so I think adding a mod who would be very hands on and skip links, delete every single offending post, and ban fools left and right, is worth it. It wouldn't fix everything, of course, but it would improve some things, which would be a plus since I've shown over the past month that I don't stop. But boss man disagrees, so now it is what it is.

Just annoys me that the assorted douchebags in here win and are laughing their heads off at my wasted effort. Guess they knew what the outcome would be all along.

This can be fixed permanently(almost). The very first post states all the rules, if you dont abide by the rules then you get banned. That simple. Fools would think twice when having to create another email address just to get a new account on ABW just to post a stupid ad link, discord link, or reddit link. I hope a site like this bans by email address and not by username. Most dudes too lazy to keep creating email accounts.

True, but determined dudes can create endless burner accounts, especially with the ability to create temporary email addresses. So email bans won't really be effective. Even IP bans are limited since they can use a VPN. Those measures will stop some and I assume they already are being used in some cases. But the rest is just hands-on enforcement to make the cost of doing business and waste of time exceed the $5 they'll get for a post. That could reduce the nonsense. The problem is it will require consistent, repeated, non-stop policing that only I and a couple of others appear willing to do. The admin also considered a feature where abusive posts could be reported to they could be deleted and OPs handled, but I guess he decided against it.
