This concept is so hard for people to get. I still remember my first crush name when I was 5. My sister's friend Sonia. She was fine as hell to me. Most kids have their first crush by 1st grade. If most people know this why is it confusing that a 12 year old going through puberty would know by then who they're attracted to too.

Because there are a large population of people who have really strong opinions about transgendered people...and have NO gotdamn idea what 'transgender' even means. There is a large % of people who think it means a physical change in your sex, like cutting off dicks, taking hormone pills to develop tits, etc. SMH.

I spoke on this little earlier. It made the most sense to me that he would take some steps towards a transition (not necessarily gender reassignment surgery at this point)

You're right, they didn't say it. It makes the most sense to me though. If Zaya identifies as a female, do you think he has any interest in going through Male puberty? A deeper voice, larger genitals, growing facial hair, growing into a man's body structure. I think they'd let him take medication to prevent it. I don't think they're being this public with it, and reaching out to all these people to ONLY buy girl's clothes, say she/her, and use a new name.

I'm open to learning about this. I thought gender identity disorder/ gender dysphoria was a person that felt their body didn't match the sex/gender they feel they are and this leads to a heavy mental burden. So different medicine/procedures can help their body match how they feel. So I thought most trans people with the means took some steps towards making their body match how they feel. Not that it's a requirement or anything, just a common choice.
