You hire an entertainment lawyer. You don't expect the label's lawyer to explain the contract, you hire your own for that. Shit may have cost a few hundred dollars for a one-time deal to look over and explain the contract to you, but that's just what you do.

That's why you hire one to work for YOU. That's what I was gonna do back inna day, but them labels contracts was so sloppy I could spot the bullshit even without one.
