Kobe Bryant Killed in Helicopter Crash: Long Live the Mamba

I haven't felt like doing shit since yesterday. Kobe was like a god to me, one of my childhood heros and somebody I admired even in adulthood. Like others said in here, he was our Jordan.

I was a super Kobe stan. I was the only nigga in the hood who had NBA league pass. I got that shit just so i could watch every Kobe game. This was back in 05-06 when the Lakers were trash lol back when chris mihm was the center. I still tuned in to every game. Shit's tough.

I mean during Kobe's time wit the Lakers...I rooted against that muthafucca. Not b/c I disliked him. But b/c the muthafucca was SO...DAMN...GREAT!

I grew watching MJ. So watchin him come as close as he had to getting 6 rings, or even passin MJ was blasphemous for me. I didn't want NO ONE threatening MJ's legacy on that level. But the one thing I always did...was give him Kobe the props he deserved.

You can root against him all you want...but you had to give respect. Bruh was just too damn good not to. Even if you don't wanna admit publically...internally...you did. Now, I'm just more intrigued how he's gonna be honored going forward.

I watchin that earlier. Rachael actually played a clip where she interviewed both Kobe and T-Mac at this AAU camp or tournament (both their kids were playin there). They was laughing and jokin...then they cut to T-Mac to speak to him about Kobe's death...smh. I felt it for him man.

This is heartbreaking...

Same time, we say a bunch of stupid things when we are young. Kobe wanting to die young was more of being remembered as the greatest of all time in the sport of basketball, in his career, in the world of the sport rather than just losing his life for the sake of it. You know the saying "being the hero long enough you'll eventually turn into the villain" type of thing. I know either way you spin it, it doesn't sound like a good thing to say. But still, to say that he spoke it into existence... I dunno... I wish I didn't even see this post, smh.
 
Crazy thing is, living in LA and us losing Nipsey & Kobe within a year.

Biggest lessons you can take from both of their lives is believing in yourself and setting goals and if you work hard and put the time in, you can accomplish anything.
