As that article states, he traded high pics for kenny stills and a Olineman. Stills hasn't exactly paid off and the olineman was brought in without a extension. Hes played well so they are gonna have to pay him more than they wouldve had to if he was traded with years left on his deal.

They traded Clooney too late, his value went down, they got less for him and they were on the hook to pay half of his deal this year. They essentially just gave away a top asset.

As a gm goes, looking long term like they should. He made a bunch of win now moves, that's gonna hurt them in the long run. They arent winning because of the moves, they are winning because of the QB they already had.

Only bad move he mad IMO was trading clowney so late. Should’ve moved him earlier in the year.

Stills has been very valuable
Tunsil an all pro caliber tackle
Traded scraps for Carlos Hyde who’s having a career year

All the picks being traded will matter but the draft is a crap shoot.Texans will have necessary cap space to fill in the gaps. If they don’t win he won’t be here anyway so it won’t matter if he’s the GM or not.

That's the problem, then you'll be without a GM anyway. The new GM more than likely wants a new coach, that wants a new staff. You have cap space that you arent filling with young potential, but with guys looking to cash in on money years. Theres a good chance they dont perform at the same level that got them the money. Your gonna end up like the dolphins.
