PITTSBURGH (KDKA)–Pittsburgh Police are investigating a stabbing involving 30-year-old NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor.

Pryor was stabbed early Saturday at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex after an argument in an apartment on the North Side. A woman there also received injuries.

Police have arrested Pryor on a charge of Simple Assault and Shalaya Briston of Munhall, Pennsylvania. Briston is being charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault.

Shalaya Briston, 24, was charged with attempted homicide in a Pittsburgh stabbing that critically injured former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who is also facing a charge, police said. Pryor is expected to make a full recovery, his agent said.

Agent: Terrelle Pryor expected to make full recovery after stabbing

Free-agent receiver Terrelle Pryor is expected to make a full recovery after he was stabbed early Saturday morning, according to his agent.

Pryor was stabbed in the chest and shoulder at his Pittsburgh apartment and underwent surgery, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Police say Pryor arrived at the hospital in critical condition by private means just after 4:30 a.m. ET.

Family members are with Pryor at the hospital, according to Gregory Diulus of Vantage Management Group, which represents Pryor. They have been told he's expected to make a full recovery. Diulus said he expects to see Pryor on Sunday.

"Shalaya Briston, 24, of Munhall, PA was arrested and has been charged with criminal attempt homicide and aggravated assault," the police said in a statement.

Briston was also injured in the altercation but police didn't describe what they were. Authorities arrested Pryor who faces a charge of simple assault.
