Colin Kaepernick: NFL invites teams to Colin Kaepernick workout Saturday

I don’t think he’s doing this for any “aura” or like S.A.S. says he’s trying to be a martyr.

Eric Reid was the only teammate that really stuck by Colin’s side when the kneeling began. He’s only in the news so much now because he’s trying to stick up for Colin.

I do kinda wish Colin would speak more sometimes but honestly he really doesn’t have to. He’s been letting his actions speak... what’s he supposed to come out and say now anyway?

Even if Kaep got back in the league and fell flat on his face I don’t think it affects anything as far as his status with the black community or his protest goes.

Nobody was saying he’s a future hall of famer or up there with Brady and Rodgers and Brees. We’ve just been saying he deserves a chance to be in the league.

Reid is an example. He was taking a stand with Kap. Now he's just another guy because he's back in the league. Right now Kap is the face of something. I don't think he wants to go back to being called a bum and shit again.

I honestly think he may prefer the martyr role at this point. The QB role has a lot of potential downside.

Im not knocking him. I think he's a good guy that stood by his principles. But I think he's bullshitting people into thinking he wants to play in the NFL.

Lol dude training extensively daily for multiple years on a football field just to be a martyr?? Smh

Think about what youre saying: hes attempting to keep himself in optimal football shape for the smallest chance in the world that the nfl will give him another shot so he can purposely botch it.

That makes absolutely no fuckin sense.

Here's the timeline I saw. Let me know if it's wrong because it may change how I look at stuff.

Tuesday - NFL announced the workout for Kap to take place Saturday at 3:00
Wednesday - NFL sent him the waiver to review and sign

There were negotiations.

Saturday (the day of the workout)

12:30 (2 1/2 hours before the workout) -Kap's people sent the NFL a new waiver. Three NFL declined. They said partially because the Falcons weren't protected by it.

2:30 (30 minutes before start time) - Kap's team sends a text saying he's not going to do it

Just after 2:30 - Kap's people post on social media he's having a workout 60 miles away.

Doesn't sound like he was really trying to get a job to me.

Did this timeline mention the NFL popped up with this "offer" out the blue and give a 2 hour window to agree?
Negotiations- What are the details?
2 and a half hours before workout- Seems reasonable if we justifying the NFL giving him the same time initially

I bet he’d make more in the XFL than making league minimum in the NFL.

Either way Nike bout to drop new Kap merch in time for the holidays!

If you're an elite athlete, you want to play against elite talent! XFL is like sending a Heisman Candidate to play in Highschool on the JV team

He said he's been staying ready. And is that really short notice? He was told Tuesday about a Saturday workout. Do FA usually get called weeks in advance?

There is legal paperwork involved do u ever read any agreements u sign on to?

He had 2 hours to say yes or no, obviously through course of events he had all week to change his mind after reading. My only point is if the nigga said he been ready, that 2 hr offer is a no problem. But don’t act like he needed more time to prepare for the work out.

He got the paperwork on Wednesday for a Saturday workout. He sent paperwork 2 1/2 hours before the start time.

Like you said, people need time to read these things. 2 1/2 hours in advance isn't acting in good faith to get things done. He doesn't want to play.

Nigga getting picked up to ride the bench, you think these crakers bout to let him start!

call me dumb but I’m bout to lead the XFL in every passing category until I get the call.

The workout itself was never the problem which is why he went thru with his own anyway

Which is the whole point
