Spinoff: Discuss your favorite fast food spots that's no longer with us (RIP)

konceptjones

The one between three and three.
The last few posts in the CFA vs Popeye's got me to thinking about spots that I used to eat at back inna day that have closed.

I'll start with one I was talking about in the thread: Hot N Now.

Hot N Now was the hookup in college. Burgers about the size of McDonalds regular burger but for less than a dollar (IIRC only 39-49 cents each). Decent tasting burgers and the fries weren't bad at all. It was drive-thru only, no walk-up window or anything so you had to get that one cat in the crew with a car to roll over there to cop bags full of 'em for the low-low.

There's only one surviving spot in the country: In Sturgis, Mi right on the 12 (aka "Michigan Ave"). Best believe I'mma fall through there when I drive back to Tha D.

Mr Hot Dog was my favorite place when I was a kid in the 70's. Damned good coney dogs and fries. Their menu started to expand to include chicken and fish but they closed the spot we had in Saginaw before the menu really got diverse. Like Hot N Now, there's only one left and it's in Bay City, Mi.

i loved perkins.....

i stated taking chicks there..

there and dennys.

the bougie chicks wanted red lobster..

a nigga and stay with them too long. just cuz you got a phat ass ass dont mean you eating lobster on my dime.

RIP Churchs Chicken.

Shit been dead for bout 17 years now

There's a grip of Church's out here. Generally speaking, If I just wanna grab a quick two piece thighs, I prefer Church's over almost every other spot.

I think all these are still thriving in other places but I havent seen them in 15+ years

fam... FAM!!!

Stuffed pizza at Sbarro's was sooooooooooooooooooooo goddamned good. It was a forreal miracle I didn't get fat or end up with clogged arteries in my late teens/early 20's 'cause I used to cop 2-3 of them stuffed slices on the regular.

I've never seen a freestanding Sbarro's in my life, always in a mall, and every one of them consistent with the food.

I just read that there's supposed to be Short Stop joints still in existence in Texas and Colorado.
