It matters because the athletes and entertainers are the most influential figures in society all over the world and to me it's shameful to see these brothas just fall in line and do what their told for a check. Not only that, to do what they're told and can't even express any of your human rights when it comes to they're humanity.
The NFL shows its players what it thinks about them when all that CTE evidence was coming out.
Yes we deal with and do business with racist people all the time. Who knows what's in someone's heart until it's expressed? But until then it's business as usual. Now if you're still working with or for an organization that openly and blatantly expresses that racism towards you and your people like the NFL does, how are you not a sell out? It matters if society's role models and heroes are actually sell outs. That shit matters.

I can only speak for myself on this but my issue is with the NFL as a whole, the owners, coaches, players and it's associates.
IMO a real solution is to build our own/another league, create rules for it, create teams and play against the existing NFL teams. Like I was saying before, the NFL is a league that plays only against itself, this would be an opportunity to create a separate league for the NFL to compete against. This could be very lucrative for both sides. NFL viewership would soar because both sides have a more emotional investment into the teams and leagues they support. Some viewers will even watch just to see this new league get their ass whooped, which in turn brings in more ratings. Merchandise sales on both sides will benefit. Endorsement deals with benefit both sides from the players to the league. It would even create more jobs locally. I believe that is a real solution.
