This is thing though IMO with these so called partnerships one side is really trying to make a difference and one side is just doing it for optics cause they fucked up and don't really care about the outcome of said partnership as long as it gets protesters and the media off their necks.
Based on some of documents that came out it doesn't seem like the LAPD was really trying to work with Nipsey. Seems like they were using him under the guise of partnership to see if they could somehow get him and his gang caught up on shit they may or may not have been doing.
The bullshit plays the people in power keep running don't seem to have changed just the players and how they implement it.

After Nick Cannon pointed out that Chelsea Handler and other white comedians have similar homophobic tweets and everybody should keep the same energy. The gay community said "oh chelsea and the others have always supported the lgbt community, we know how they really feel".
