Trump Reportedly Planning to Escalate Feud With Amazon: He’s Like ‘How Can I F*ck With’ Bezos?

A new report indicates that President Trump and his advisers are looking at ways to ramp up his fight against his Amazon chief Jeff Bezos.

Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman has spoken to four White House sources who told him that Trump has been “obsessed” with Bezos in the last few days. Indeed, the president recently unleashed a plethora of Twitter attacks about how Bezos’ online retail giant is bad for America, and how Washington Postshould be classified as a lobbying firm since Bezos owns the paper.

“He’s off the hook on this. It’s war,” a source told Sherman. “Trump is like, how can I fuck with him?”

Sherman reports that Gary Cohn used to tell Trump that Amazon is a boon for the postal service, but now that he’s gone, Trump wants to increase Amazon’s shipping costs, cancel their Defense Department contracts, and investigate their business practices. As for the Washington Post, one source said that Trump maintains his view that the paper is a political weapon, sort of like what Trump thinks of the National Enquirer:

When Bezos says he has no involvement, Trump doesn’t believe him. His experience is with the David Peckers of the world. Whether it’s right or wrong, he knows it can be done.”

I was telling somebody earlier today, that the man has the resources to be one of the most knowledgeable on the planet in pretty much any subject.

But he's willfully retarded, because he already thinks he knows everything smh

Tucker Carlson Labels Mexico a Hostile Country, Asks Why Military Hasn’t Been Sent To Border

At the top of his program this evening, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson weighed in on the story that has grabbed President Donald Trump’s attention the past couple of days — the “caravans” of immigrants making their way through Mexico in hopes of crossing the US border.

After delivering a fiery monologue about the subject, the conservative host brought on Center for Immigration Studies’ Jessica Vaughan to discuss the issue. Vaughan said the United States needed to use leverage against Mexico to make them stop migrants from other countries from traveling through Mexico in hopes of crossing into the United States.

While Vaughan was leaning more towards using economic pressure against Mexico when it came to migration issues, Carlson wondered aloud why the US doesn’t just send the military down to the border.

“So 60,000 Americans died last year from drug abuse and most of those drugs came from Mexico,” he stated. “They are a hostile country. They are abetting the movement of these people here. Would it be possible to send the military to our border? Honestly, why is this not a hostile act against our country?”

Following his interview with Vaughan, Carlson brought on Border Angels’ Enrique Morones. Considering Border Angels is an organization dedicated to migrant outreach and provides water drops and rescue stations along the US-Mexican border, you can guess how the segment went.

Morones immediately exclaimed that “Mexico is not a hostile nation,” causing Carlson to quickly respond by saying “of course it is.”

At one point, Morones challenged Carlson to provide proof that the Mexican government is training people on how to get into the United States illegally, Carlson said: “I win with superior knowledge here.”

“More like superior arrogance,” Morones snarked, adding that Carlson’s “racism is well known.”

The two would go back and forth for a few more minutes, which you can see in the clip above.

The Hits Keep Coming: WH Eyes Pruitt’s Travel, Security And Housing Expenses

The White House is conducting a provisional review of Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt amid reports of his unprecedented travel and security expenses, as well as new reports about his D.C. lodging, according to overnight reports Monday from The Wall Street Journal, CNN and Politico.

Both CNN and the WSJ reported, citing White House officials and people familiar with the matter, that the move is simply a review of the situation, not a formal probe and that Pruitt’s job is not in jeopardy — for now. The inquiry is meant to “dig a little deeper” into the allegations, a White House official told the WSJ.

Politico reported that Chief of Staff John Kelly at one point considered firing Pruitt, but Kelly reportedly now prefers to wait until an upcoming inspector general’s report into Pruitt’s travel expenses is released.

While the review is a sign that the White House may be unhappy with reports of Pruitt’s spending — which a CNN source said “eats at” Trump — his job is likely safe for now because Trump is pleased with Pruitt’s regulatory rollbacks, according to all three reports.

“From advocating to leave the Paris Accord, working to repeal Obama’s Clean Power Plan and WOTUS, and cleaning up toxic Superfund sites that have been languishing for decades, Administrator Pruitt is focused on advancing President Trump’s agenda of regulatory certainty and environmental stewardship,” EPA spokesman Jahan Wilcox told CNN in response to inquires about the reported review.

The review signals the White House might be reaching its wit’s end with Pruitt’s negative press.

Pruitt has consistently come under fire for reports of his excessive travel spending, which have totaled more than $150,000 in his first year, prompting the inspector general investigation and a probe from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Pruitt has also made unprecedented changes to his security detail, requiring round-the-clock service because of an apparent uptick in threats made against him. Just last week, ABC News reported that Pruitt rented lodging — at the rate of $50 a night — owned by a prominent energy lobbyist for several months last year.

Report: Trump Tells Embattled Pruitt To ‘Keep Fighting’

President Donald Trump rallied behind his beleaguered EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, giving him a pep talk via a phone call on Monday, according to a Tuesday morning Bloomberg report.

An unnamed source told Bloomberg that the President told Pruitt to “keep fighting” and “keep your head up,” and that the administration has “got your back.” Chief of Staff John Kelly reportedly echoed the President’s sentiments in a call on Tuesday.

Pruitt has been embroiled in a maelstrom of controversy lately, drawing fire for his use of a suspiciously cheap Capitol Hill apartment connected to a prominent energy lobbyist; his frequent first class travel, especially to his home in Oklahoma; and his use of an expensive security detail, appearing to accompany him even on non-official business.

Drain the Swamp tho...
