Is The Rock The Most Overrated A-Lister In Hollywood

Never heard anyone call Rock a great actor. Hes just a real life action figure.

Nobody ever considered Arnold or Sly great actors. They just fit the bill & ppl love them.

They have classics under their belts, he doesn't

He needs to take a break. A long break from making movies

Nah he needs to ride this wave till he does black Adam. That will be his peak. He'll be a little less appealing after playing the villain role by default and shit will slow up.

Arnold and Sly had genuine classics under their belt when they were the biggest action stars on the planet. This guy has none and it's an insult to even compare him to them.

To answer the thread question: yes he is. Of all time.

They made their names w/ their movies

The Rock was a well known celebrity before he ever acted.

And he might not have a signature movie yet but he stay killin the box office

Arnold was famous for being Mr. Olympia long before he made movies. That is no excuse also his last 2 movies including the one that dropped yesterday underperformed big time.

Funny but for the so called biggest movie star today none of his real money makers was dependent on him for success. They were successful because of familiar brands (Jumanji, Fast and Furious) and the ensemble cast.

Every time he drops something on his own it usually sinks like a stone. People don't go see these movies FOR The Rock they watch them in spite of him.

We won’t see him on Broadway anytime that’s for sure.....he keeps remaking his version of classic movies

Folks need to stop lookin at every Hollywood actor and think they're Oscar material.

He makes decent movies. I'm not expecting every movie he does to be Oscar worthy, with Oscar worthy performances. They serve its purpose. Take for what they are, and the audience they cater to.

That's like criticizing the 1st Expendables movie b/c it didn't have deep acting. The flick was pretty much an homage to the action movies of the 80's. That's why it did so well.

Gotta agree with the masses, outside of selling out theatres he really ain't getting praise in any other department

When you got action, a big budget, and someone believable, you call Rock
