I understand him defending himself but more importantly, he was rapping and doing it well.
Kendrick drops a track that has a nice beat but not any fire to besides the A Minor line. Not many punches in there.

This is corny. You’re trying to hold Drake to a standard that you don’t hold any other rappers to because you’re buying into a narrative that he isn’t Black enough or that he’s stealing. You’re ignoring everything he does/has done and pursuing your own personal agenda towards how you think he should act and move.
This is the part that makes people come off looking like haters. You’re policing how he moves and making it so that there’s nothing that Drake can do to satisfy the goals or things you’re laying out for him.

I like both and I think both of them brought that shit with all of their songs but this was not some extremely one sided battle and it’s not even over. Niggas are speaking in finalities because they want it to be one way. The same way niggas were saying that they were surprised that Drake responded? Huh? Why would you be surprised? If you were surprised that Drake even responded as hard as he did then you clearly had you mind made up before this battle even started.
Let these niggas rap without making a declaration. Why would anybody call this shit over? They’ve been trading jabs for 10 years. Why would a few tracks in 3 weeks be the end of it? Niggas just want it to be one way and they’re letting their bias show.
