I switch up all the time since they all work better for certain situations, but Tifa and Yuffie are broken and work in any fight but they did a better job making everyone balanced this go around.

Trying to figure out how to build meter faster for Aerith since when she gets going she can wipe the field.

im enjoying the hell outa this joint tho. I be trying to do all the sidequests before the main story but theres some joints where I clearly gotta backtrack afterwards. Shit is dope so far and different from the og in alotta ways so its not a retread of a story you already played

I usually got Aerith and Tifa. Aerith is my heals so she's always in the party, but Tifa gets swapped out a lot as of right now. I'm still on chapter 3 so pretty early, but im still trying to get a good feel for Barrett and red.

I fuck wit Barret cuz that character can take alot of hits. I equipped him with alotta healing and raise joints so he can bring folks back when errbody drop

What's yalls strategy in a fight as far as ATB? I'm asking because I've been playing as cloud in a majority of the battles and haven't had much of a reason to swap due to them just being easy trash fights. The big fights though, the party members don't seem to do shit unless you swap to them and actively attack. So by the time I got cloud at full atb, my party is at like a quarter of the first bar and I just use skills and wait for them to get a bar then use the R2 button and control them while still playing cloud.

That strategy, or lack of one, has fucked me over a number of times for different reasons, but I just can't seem to remember how I made it go so smoothly in the first game lmao.

Are yall getting clouds gauges up then swapping to another member, get theirs up, then swap to last and up there's, THEN use all abilities and repeat?

I use Cloud to start the fight off. I get the gauge up and hit Assess to see what the weaknesses are. Then depending on whos in the party I spam the basic attacks to get they gauge up so they can use the special/weakness attacks or to stagger.

My dumbass was in the titan fight and having difficulty and I was just attacking trying to do damage with cloud and build stagger and wait for aerith to get atb then she the only one with cure so im thinking she will just use cure seeing cloud at low health, but nah. Dumbass used aero and by the time I swapped and got the atb, cloud was dead lmfao.

Pretty sure theres a materia that lets the other folks in ya party use special abilities when you arent in control of them like heal and other attacks

Use the Synergy Skills as much as possible it builds ATB for both Characters. Thats how you can build gauge with 2 characters are once.

I think some of them joint give buffs only if they linked

the more abilities you use the quicker you can use synergy joints. you gotta make sure the ability you use has the two squares on it tho to build up synergy. Some characters you gotta do an ability 2-3 times each

Im talking about the R1+ another button skills you pick in the folio's. They are spammable but its best to use them in a combo. The bigger synger skills depend on what skill you use with the gage, it suppose to tell you which ones build toward the big team skills. Game does a terrible job explaining new systems
