The Beastie Boys Have been around since the early 80s. I believe there's a Beastie Boys flyer from 1981.

Anyway, their music is actually pretty decent imo. Much more tolerable than Eminem imo.

I fucks with the Beastie Boys heavy. Back in middle school niggas used to be at the lunch table or in the back hallways reciting their songs arguing over who got to do which part. Most of the time I did MCA 'cause I could do his voice spot-on.

First cats that weren't afraid to push the envelope of what hip hop could sound like.

And they weren't trying to be Black. That's why they lasted and 3rd Bass didn't. 3rd Bass was trying to be Black and nobody believed them.

Yeah but you'd have to admit they had their own lane, well before Insane Clown Posse and Eminem.

I wouldn't be mad if somebody called the Beastie Boys a top 10 Hip Hop group.

Their first album came out in 1986 and they stayed relevant waaay longer than anybody else from that era.
