Your child’s teacher having your child’s phone number.

Nah. My kid doesn’t need other role models contacting them, we have family for that.

Like some said though, extreme situations maybe. And really only if the parent ain’t shit. But even that’s subjective. It gets messy judging how someone is raising their kids.

I have one because her mama texts me from it sometimes. I also have one students Apple ID because her mama messaged me from it because I was purchasing something for her child.

I’m not out here texting them back and forth but a time or two the girls have said hi to me randomly and I replied back.
Why does she text you from her kids phone instead of hers?

Does it ever get awkward when they're in trouble at school for a missed assignment or something?

For one of the girls, I believe the phone was the mama’s phone then she gave it to her child. Then again, idk because she just text me from it yesterday.

She’s not my student anymore but me and her mama cool so it’s never awkward.

As for the other two, the girls were supposed to send me a link to a dress they wanted for a ball. So I guess they were searching on one of the girls iPad and they sent it to me from the iPad.

They are my past students but still on my cheer team. So I have a great relationship with their parents and them. I never initiate a conversation with them on the phone but if they reach out, I speak back.

I can understand instances of ain't shit parents etc as has been mentioned...but me personally I wouldn't feel comfortable with it. A kid can and should have role models and figures they look up to not in their direct family...but that don't mean they should have a direct unfiltered access to them.

We used to text the teachers we were cool af with in hs. Especially if you were in clubs or some typa leadership stuff you had to talk to teachers/staff to coordinate different things. And I can see it if it's kids that aren't your students anymore but just wana say hey and check up on em.

Idk how id feel about this with younger kids tho.

Shit man fuck that the one person who smashed the most girls in HS was the gym coach

‘You make me risk it all:’ Broward high school teacher accused of having sex with student
https://www.local10.com/news/local/...l-teacher-accused-of-having-sex-with-student/

The FBI said on or around Feb. 12, they received a phone complaint regarding a statutory rape of a 15-year-old female by a woman who identified herself as the victim’s mother.

A 15-page document outlines the relationship began summer of 2023 and ended this past February.

Authorities received written consent to search the device of the victim who said she spoke with Bastidas through the school’s email account and their conversations later moved to personal accounts to include Google emails, Google chats and text messages.

“I’m never gonna judge you the way you thought I would. You’re one of the best students I’ve had, so I can’t judge you, but you’re not just a student at this point.” Bastidas texted the victim on or around Aug. 3, according to the complaint.

“I know that now. Ever since I’ve gotten to know you, I’ve known that. You’re the best teacher I’ve had but do you also rlly think you’re just my teacher at this point? Cuz you haven’t been just my teacher for a while now, you been so much more and have meant so much more,” the victim responded through text message,” the complaint stated.

On or about Sept. 23, 2023, authorities said Bastidas had the following conversation through text message with the victim:

“I’ll always love you. I need you. I wanna love you,” he wrote.

“I’ll always love you too, I need you so much, and I want your love, I wanna give you my love,” the victim responded.

Bastidas went on to say " I want you to touch your body. I want my body on yours, I want to f--- you.”

“I want that too Boris,” the victim responded. “I want our bodies to connect. I want our bare bodies on each other.”

The complaint states that on Oct. 25, 2023, Bastidas sent the victim an email describing how he felt about her.

Bastidas stated, “Since then, we’ve shared and said so much. We’ve gone from emails to texts, and it’s been cute, romantic, passionate and hot. We pour out in the messages we send, and we finally touched and finally kissed and l want more. There’s not a lot I would do to risk so much of my professional life, my reputation, even my personal life for...but for some reason, you make me risk it all,” according to the complaint.

Prior to school starting last August, the victim and Bastidas discussed meeting up to discuss their feelings towards each other, she told detectives.

The victim told authorities that they met at a Dunkin’ in Monarch Lakes where they had their first kiss, the report stated.

The victim admitted that she took photos of herself and would send them to Bastidas, authorities said.

The complaint also alleges that Bastidas had the victim perform oral sex on him on multiple occasions, including in the parking lot of the victim’s job in Miramar.

The victim told the FBI that Bastidas had sexual intercourse multiple times with her during the school’s Model United Nations field trip to New York, where he was her chaperone, the complaint stated.

The victim also stated that Bastidas would often give her gifts that included jewelry, T-shirts and a keychain, which were photographed by the FBI.

No one answered the door at his home in Coral Springs, where federal officers arrested him on Wednesday.

According to the school’s Instagram page, Bastidas was awarded “Educator of the Year” in 2023 and was the chair of the social studies department.

A court hearing is scheduled for March 19 at 9 a.m. where a magistrate judge will decide if Bastidas should be released on bond ahead of his trial.

FBI officials said because this is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.

Anyone with information about this case or any FBI investigation is urged to call 754-703-2000.

Dr. Judith Mucheck, the head of Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory, released the following statement on the incident:

“When we became aware of the allegations, we conducted an investigation and he was terminated immediately.”
