I hear what you're saying, but a lot of people just don't have hang-ups about race like that. From what I understand in the story, dude went to a school that was mostly white. He wasn't looking to get a white chick. I think she might have been the one to approach him. He gave it a try and was basically mesmerized by how different her family was than his.

He wasn't chasing white chicks like ya'll like to accuse these dudes of. Had he got to an HBCU, he probably would have found a black chick with a decent family. But if you get a scholarship to Iowa State. What you gonna do? Not take the money because there aren't any black people at the school?

I know a black chick that went to a university in one of them white midwestern states, and she unwillingly went through her whole undergrad and didn't lose her virginity because she wasn't into white guys. I live in the DMV, a black area, and black people complaining. How hard do you think it is when black people are like 5% of the population?

Bruh, you sound like someone who's never been in a position where black people were rare. As a long time hard science guy. I've been in that position a lot. It's not fun. I've had internships where I hung out for weeks with a filipina chick because that was the closest to black I could find.

All jokes aside, I really believe niggas love judging but don't have a clue what other black people go through sometimes.
 
Some of you’ll get way to fixated on race. Everyone has their preference keyword “their” and has nothing to do with you. Dating/marrying outside of their race also doesn’t make them exempt from race related issues or the typical stereotypes thrown out there from others. It’s the one that think because they date so and so they are exempt… nope still gonna be judged that way depending on the individual. Yep its fucked up.

You can tell how many of you guys grew up in mixed families or around different cultures etc with how one sided some of you’ll are…if its not black this black than I don’t want it. Cool no need for the side eye and judgement. It might not be for you but its also not you in the relationship, just be with whoever makes you happy forget the outside noise.

Let me break character for a sec

Super small sample size ftr but I spent a summer at the University of Iowa for an internship. It don't get no whiter than that. Fortunately for me, I was in a stem program for black kids and while there were other blacks around the campus for summer school, it was just whole different experience. My group stuck together the whole summer and we all had just met one another but all of us being from the South definitely helped.

For most blacks, imo, they have a choice where they can attend schools but for the free that don't, I do understand how difficult it might be to find community in predominately white spaces
