HCTP isn’t my favorite wrestling game of all time but with this upcoming release, we are about to be EATING this summer.



And both Backlash & The Violent Arts will probably be done next year…

this t shit in my top 3 along w/ WM 2000 & No Mercy

i cant even lie it might even sit at the top. These were the first ones to have the branching stories and they did it the best. Recently it was some people on twitter that were still unconvering stories for HCTP that a lot of ppl aint even know existed cause it was so many different paths all depending on who you were playing with and what choices you made

My crown will always go to No Mercy but I really need to dig into Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. It has a MMA/Shoot Fighting mode that looks crazy and it’s wild that it’s a part of the Aki engine that a majority of players never got to experience.

I just recently got hip on HCTP and played 2 seasons as Stone Cold. I fuck with it and Smackdown vs Raw 2007 and I have a history of shitting on all the smackdown games.

I need to check virtual pro wrestling out i remember you talking about it before

That HCTP is dope shit has so much replay value

I fucked w/ SD vs RAW probably up until like 2012-13 that's when it really started falling off for me
 


This is a dual screen front end that has been in development over the last 7 months or so. An alpha version has been out for a while but I haven’t got on board with it yet because it was missing a lot of features. But by the looks of things, I’ll be giving it a shot soon

I don’t remember playing Sonic Adventure 2 at all so I may fuck with it. Apparently this remake adds levels

There’s also lighting, texture and frame rate improvements with this remake. Apparently, it’s still being worked on and what’s being played in the video is a demo

I would think the framerate thing wouldn't be so much of an issue if you had a capable GPU for the PC version. That said, at the time I we were playing it I was running an absolute shit-tier GPU, a 2GB MSI Geforce GT 710, and I was running that on a Pentium D 950 and really had no framerate issues.

well I mean in the sense that it’s possible that the pc version you played was a direct port of the Dreamcast version, which could be locked at 30 or 60 fps and this remake potentially could make the game run at 120 fps. Back then, it may not have been a matter of whether your computer was capable. It may have been a limitation of the actual port itself.

I’m just assuming what other possible improvements they made with regards to quality of life
 


Banjo Kazooie pc port on the way. That series was never my thing but I hope somebody is happy about the news.
 


Sega Model 1 emulation is here….atleast with Virtua Fighter. Of course you can get the arcade experience with Virtua Fighter via MAME but what this Model 1 emulator aims to do is be closer to what the actual hardware from the original arcade board gave.

The devs are working on improving this and more games

Another team remade Mother (Earthbound Beginnings) as an Earthbound snes rom hack. This is completely different from the one that was released last week.

This is crazy. I never played Mother on NES but I’ve played/beat Mother 2 (Earthbound) and Mother 3. This shit is definitely going on the backlog smh
