"The Tribeca-STL family is a minority-owned company that consists of employees and residents from many racial backgrounds. We are proud of this fact and do not and never will stand for racism or racial profiling at our company."

Stupid bitch. How the fuck you gonna work for a minority owned company and act like a racist piece of shit? Did she think this wouldn't catch up to her at some point?
She probably didn't think it was minority owned

Good for that bitch

Minority owned can mean, Jewish, Arab, Asian, Indian, and such. They may have the same energy in the offices that made her feel comfortable to behave like that.

*Shrugs* She was doing to much by following him, but that's better than calling the cops on him. I know everyone's assuming she only treated him like that because he's black, and ya'll might be right considering the ways of the world. That said, she was pretty much doing what she's supposed to do. At least initially. You're not supposed to let people you don't know into the building. That pretty much defeats the purpose of having that kind of security.

I'm guessing he didn't have his keyfob or whatever because I don't understand all that back and forth with the chick at the beginning when he could have told her to back her ass up, let the door close, let himself in, and been on his way without any of that nonsense.

That's not her job. If she was so shook, why not call security? Why put yourself in that situation even if he was a criminal? It's still stupid to follow someone you don't know. I'm pretty sure he was more suspicious bc of his race. Her tone and demeanor was all entitlement. And you obv won't know every single person in a unit. He couldve been new, a friend or relative visiting. She doesn't/didn't know his situation and it's really not her business.

Ayo - how much would it cost to change this guy's name to The Devil's Advocate?

It's not her job to take a bullet over it, but it absolutely is her responsibility to not haphazardly let people she doesn't know into the building. You can actually be kicked out of those places like that. I personally know someone it happened to. She let someone in without verifying shit. They robbed a couple apartments. The building and cops used the cameras at the front to identify the suspects and how they got in. She got kicked the fuck out of violating building rules.

Some of those buildings have pretty strict rules about that. If you don't know someone, you don't let them in. If dude was new, he should have had his fob. If he was visiting, he needed to have the person he knew buzz him in. I know ya'll to shit on racist white people as much as possible, and I'm all for that, but shit ain't as basic as some of you always wanted to try and make it. And if she had called security and that turned into something major, ya'll would still be bashing. Again, I'm not saying race isn't involved her or that she didn't go too far, but if you think she was wrong for simply asking for verification that he lived in the building, you don't know what you're talking about.

Why do we always have to bend or make them feel that we are nonthreatening and validate our presence? Keep ya head down and speak when spoken to. Nah bruh.

lol What are you talking about? Ya'll always trying to turn some shit into something it's not. She asked him to see his fob so that she'd know he lived there. Fuck does that have to do with bending your head or not being nonthreatening?

I absolutely do know what I'm talking about. When is it plausible to follow someone you don't know and you're not securing shit? She ain't building managment, security, or an admin. With so much that has gone on in recent and past years, as blk ppl most of us have to be extra cautious on just solely being black. Let's not be unrelaistic and so optimistic. Idk how YOU think it was ok for her to do it. If she got a foot or fist to the face, then what? Where would it say she has the obligation to physically block someone from getting to their home, ask for id, then stalk to them all the way from one floor, to the elevator, to his door?

Bending over bkwards to be as nonthreatening as possible has everything to do with it. She clearly stated that she was uncomfortable and demanding for him to show her his keypad to validate his residency. Uncomfortbale ppl don't do what she did.

the fact shes white and a chick she knows she couldnt lose....

you push her....you wrong
its like carte blance to do what the fuck you want and can play victim

Half your post is talking about her following him around and harassing him. I never defended that. I said in my first post she was wrong for that. If she got punched in the face then, that would have been on her for doing too much as white women often do.

The part of I defended is her being hesitant to let him in initially because she could have gotten trouble for that. If he lives in that building, he knows the rules too. All he had to do was show her the fob and keep it moving. That has nothing do with bending over backwards. That is typically building protocol for places with that kinda security. Everything doesn't have to be a battle. If you live in one of those buildings and you see a white person coming in that you don't know, you have just as much right (and responsibility) to pull the fob check.

Yea...protocol. And what type of "security" was she displaying? He didn't have to show her anything. Also, in what instance, that you know of, have blk done what she did and wasn't working as security or manager?

lol Look, I used to live in a building like that for like 5 years. People absolutely asked to see keyfobs or asked where a person's apartment was all the time in that place regardless of whether or not a person was white, black , red, whatever. Again, she was wrong to go as far as she did with it. But if you're saying that she was wrong to question him when he was trying to tailgate off her coming out of the building to walk her dog, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. If her building was anything like mine, it says right in the rule package you're given when moving in that you're supposed to check people you don't know like that. And once again, I know someone who got kicked out of the building for doing exactly what you're claiming this chick should have done.

For the third time, she was wrong for trying to physically block him out and for following him, but she was not wrong to question him when he was trying to use her to get into the building. Her shit was on the line not his. What did it hurt him to show his keyfob especially if that's what you're supposed to do anyway?

I hear ya.

Actually, its 12:29 and I have to clock in. And I took it as a personal attack when you stated I don't know what the F I'm talking about. I don't speak to ppl that way, but maybe I have to speak to you as the same. If you see my short rebuttal as an attack, *shrugs.

Ehh, I didn't mean any harm by that. I'm used to arguing on the IC where people just said a bunch of wild dumb shit and wanted to fight over it. And I don't see you rebutting me as a personal attack, but accusing me of shucking and jiving because I'm presenting an alternate point of view (one that's actually back by facts and not feelings) is a personal attack. I don't care whether you make attacks or not, but if you're going to take it there, at least be real about it.
