Then have him return and fuck over Orton, this way the feud picks back up and everything comes back around full circle with his story.

He avenged his mania loss agaisnt Cena last year. This year he'll probably do the same against Orton

I see alot of people are hoping the Fiend character was dead to set up a different character for Bray which is the smart thing to do because outside lights and cameras and turning folks heel, the fiend fucking sucks! So this might be a better way to use the cocoon symbol Bray tweeted to make a new balanced character.
