Would You Contribute To The Destruction Of Other Humans/Animals?

Knock_Twice

2 Words
If on a board, or shareholder of a company, would you approve a product or an invention that could help erase the pain (stomach ache or a cough) or make life easy (internet) but it had side affects that would destroy humans?

I believe the reason we are here today is because of how white folks have turned a blind eye to destroying this earth.

Those who says, yes, you would vote yea and fuck everybody's health, would you explain your reasoning?

Option 2

If born into a family that created x product, and you knew once you got 18, that this product or advance technology that made your family rich, hurt people, would you continue producing the product? Example, plastic, the chemicals that make plastic are killing humans around the world.

It's more nuanced than that.

But it really starts with what values you're raised on in both instances.

I would look to destroy either thing but I say that based on how I was raised and my life experience being what it is. Might not be that way if I were born into the type of money that allows both of these scenarios. 🤷🏿‍♂️

I mean, for content, if you were born into money, and your family created, colors, or some shit, your parents spoke on being a good person, etc, showed you the right way of doing things, they just so happen to be "their product" killing off trees etc, Do you question the business model or do you grow and keep on with producing the product.

This here.
I wasn't raised in financial privilege. Those folks are effectively detached from the rest of the world considering everybody in their immediate and probably adjacent circle is in the 1%

Gas powered cars shouldn't have been a thing for decades... But will likely always be a thing regardless if how scarce it becomes.. Because those in power make way too much money.

One person can't change that. It's a whole system. You'd be risking your own life. Saving w
The world wouldn't even be achievable because you'd die in a skiing accident.

Which has me asking, when is enough money enough? And if you can, try and get what I'm saying, meaning, if you have made over 300 billion dollars from making cars, (using your example) I'm sure you've seen the world x amount of many times and did everything that you wanted to do 10x

Would you or should be on some, ok, I've made enough money, I know my product is destroying the planet and will destroy the next 2 generations, maybe I need to cut back on producing some shit

Or the people who ok'd this shit, should they be thinking this way, the world is not its best condition because of this product, lets tell this family that they have to stop producing this product...etc etc.

I'll question the model and stop it but another billionaire would just take my place or get me outta here completely.

There are some good billionaires and nepo babies out there just not enough to destroy the system.

They don't think like that.. It's more important to keep the family legacy going.

They don't see the world or money the same way you do. It's never about have they made enough. People who inherit that lifestyle aren't thinking about a finish line.

That's like saying, at what point should your blood line stop?

And again, you'd be outvoted by literally everybody around you that you love and care about.

Should the world, deny a product if it affects other things?

Thread was inspired by the documentary The Plastic Theory or some shit it was called on Netfilx, good ass documentary. The chemicals in plastic affects us, to the point where it can halt couples from having kids, (I didn't know that) but watching the shit, it made me question, like why people are approving products that affects folks lives, in this case fertility for some.

You ever watch a commerical and they are advertising a drug product, explaining all the benefits of it etc etc and then at the very end of the commerical it gives you a list of side affects that the shit may cause lol...

Like how is this even a safe product and why do we as a soceity accept this shit?

It should be (imo) and for content, if your product can't fix the shit without causing other issues, the shit goes back in the lab, Voted Down.

That's how it should be done,

The world doesn't work like that.

In many instances, too many to count, the risk is with the reward.

Who are you to deny someone a risk they are willing to take?

Yeah the medicine has side effects, but if the person taking them is going though a pain or complication you have never experienced or even are aware of, who are you to deny them treatment because YOU don't like the side effects.

You are not in the pain they are in. They can give a fuck less about them side effects if it brings then relief from something dominating their life at this moment.

The world should but it won't. Short and long term benefits will almost always outweigh the negative effects especially if there is capital gain to be had. Mfs don't care about a future they can't see themselves in or benefit from.

Just the shitty way society and the system are built.

Look here, I brought this up to a homegirl and asked her, would she create the medicine if she know that the chemicals that created the meds, caused some people to grow an extra arm/finger (bullshitting around) she said yes...so I told her..

Why should an innocent person suffer from some shit that has nothing to do with them...to ease your pain...

A product created shouldn't affect someone's else health was my pov...she said it doesn't matter, she's healed, I said that's fucked up and selfish....lol..

That's why this country is going to hell....

Now we have 2 meds created, producing more chemicals, the med to help with the stomach and the one to help the people who has an extra arm/finger

If we could rewind back, and let's say these things don't get produced, should the rules be more strict?

Would strict rules....make the world, have this world in a better condition?

Probably but there ain't no rewind button to find out. We here now.

I guess for me, it's all about weighing the good with the bad. If it's a product that will advance society and make life possible/easier for millions of people at the expense of hundreds, yes I would push the product while constantly trying to make it better and looking for a way to reduce the damage.

My big problem with this society is not so much that we use things that have negative impacts. My real problem is the fact that even when we come up with better alternatives or ways to mitigate the damage done, those rich people will stomp those things out to protect their bottom line.

Again.

If you have cancer and a debilitating pain in your abdomen and the only medicine available that will remove your pain might grow you an extra finger...... YOU WILL NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE EXTRA FINGER....

And if someone is telling you they won't release it because of the extra finger. You might shoot that person.
You calling that girl selfish... When you really being selfish cuz you not thinking about the people who are suffering, you only thinking any the side effect YOU don't want to experience

I asked this out loud, I stated, if money was not an objection in this world, would plants continue or products that harm people still be a thing?
