Who's The Most Famous Person You've Met and How Did It Go?

Met alot of famous people since 2004, 05

My method man redman story

Fun fact:
I love when things come full circle..even if it takes 12 years....
So we were backstage at Rock the Bells in 2011 at Shoreline. Nas was the headliner, meth and red opened. It's an outdoor venue with a bunch of cabanas backstage and we were there as media cuz we had been tagging along with Redman and Dj dice filming for our lil local reality show all weekend. My connect had already plugged Red with some of East Oakland's finest purple the night before and I brought more. I was juiced that Meth was there to experience some cali fire too. So it's a bunch of people back there and it's the Bay Area so you know it's diverse, not just all black people. You would think that would put a rapper more at ease cuz he doesn't have to worry about nothing, but no, Method Man was on edge for some strange reason. When the blunt that I rolled came around to Red he hit it and passed it to whoever but when it came around to Meth he looked at it funny and didn't hit it and passed it to whoever cuz apparently he doesn't smoke a blunt he didn't see get rolled. And other dudes were there trying to get on meth good side by passing him blunts/joints like try this shit and he would take it reluctantly not hit it and pass it to the next man. The whole time he had this anxious look on his face. He was eyeballing everybody including me who's there with the fucking cameraman..like??? His vibe was just off compared to redman who was being redman. And remember dude is like 6'3 or 4, he's already the tallest in the room and he stands out anyway, so him being a Debbie Downer was kinda noticeable.. I remember losing respect for Meth as a smoker cuz I actually have never seen or heard of anybody acting like that over a blunt... but I get it, shit could be laced or whatnot but Red wasn't the least bit worried about that. Why would he really think a bunch of bay area minorities with special access are going to try to slip him something? I never forgot that because again his vibe was so odd it made me kind of look at him differently, but now after reading this article about his mental health and depression it all makes sense. He been on edge, that's just him. I guess he kinda fronts for the camera.

I feel like I got closure on that situation today cuz I never understood his energy 💡

When i was a kid I saw celebrities all the time. It feels like they were just outside more.

I met Wesley Snipes when I was about 7 or 8. He was roller blading at the beach while my karate class was practicing. I only remember him as cool and nice. Looked just like he did on White Men Can't Jump. Can't remember if this was Venice or Santa Monica.

Met Tom Arnold and Roseanne at the mall when I was about 8 as well. Tom was super cool. Roseanne kinda wanted us to fuck off, which i understand if you're just clothes shopping.

Met Emmit Smith at Target one late night when I was about 9. He was annoyed because you can tell he intended for it to be a quick purchase, since it was about 10 PM. People started running to grab balls for him to sign. I just said hi because I felt bad for him.

I saw Hugh Laurie (House) one day at Santa Monica College. We were walking towards one another along a pathway. I was a bit shook so I just gave the general head nod and kept walking.

I met Wesley Snipes
Same

I seen celebs a decent amount and really I'm not someone to want to go talk to them....because I don't really want to talk to anybody. Plus it already looks bad with people bothering them.

Cats like Wesley will say wassup and kick it for a sec tho.

Met him and wyclef and cuba gooding. I can say I said more than hi and bye with them just not no long conversation

Seen a few footballers(soccer players to u yanks) and couple wrestlers and actors

Most was just a wassup because fuck small talk

Yea

Met a lot of famous people. I would say the most famous is Richard Pryor. He used to buy "commodities" from my uncle. He would come through, get his shit, kick it for about 30 minutes and dip. Funniest man ever.

RIP.

Edit.

Oh shit I forgot about Kobe, although in my eyes Richard Pryor is more famous.

😂 Met Road Dogg at the airport one time as a little kid. I don’t remember much of the interaction but I remembered being in awe since at the time “wrassling” was my shit and never ran into someone I seen on tv before.

Oh yeah met like most of The Kliq at a Perkins around midnight around 97. I was 18. Everyone was real cool and I got autographs from everyone except Shawn. That nigga was an asshole back then.

Fantasia lived next door to me in Greensboro just before she went on American Idol. Could hear her singing through the walls. Her and her man were leaving one day and I asked him where they were heading to. He said American Idol. First thought in my head was “see you in a few days”. Yeah I was wrong but who really thinks their neighbor going to turn into Fantasia.

Saw Freeway at the Philly airport during a layover. He looked my way and I gave him the head nod and said I loved the album.

Oh shit, I forgot about John Witherspoon.... One night we bouncing at the club, and I hear on the radio. " Yoooo Pops out here at the side entrance roasting niggas"

I run to the side door, and soon as I get outside I hear

"And.look at this big nose motherfucker right here"

Man that nigga had us laughing for a good 10 mins out there...shit was great

Not very close to my dads side of the family… but J Holiday is my cousin. Haven’t talked to him since we were teenagers.

I think I told the story about my other cousin and me seeing Scott Hall and Kevin Nash at an Outback in the early 2000’s.

Met Drew Brees when I was stationed out in New Orleans. A year before that big L they took against the Rams in the playoffs cuz of that PI call.

All of these interactions were great.

The first President George Bush. He came to my high school when I was a senior and me and my friends stood in the hallway and talked to him all day.

Also Grandmaster Caz. I met him at a Zulu Anniversarry party and I talked to him for about an hour.
was bush president when you were a senior or vice president? what did yall talk about? if you don’t mind, just curious.

🤔

He was the President.

We talked about everything.

One thing that stands out is how people say Japan is going to take over. The President made it clear that in 1945 we dropped two atomic bombs on Japan and they signed an unconditional surrender. That means the U.S. owns Japan and they are not a sovereign country.

So anytime somebody says, "Japan is taking over" I always tell them the story of how I met The President and he said, "We dropped two atomic bombs on Japan and they signed an unconditional surrender".

Also, Japan doesn't have a military so they would have a difficult time "taking over".

As a lifelong wrestling fan, I have never seen a wrestler outside the live show. I'm envious, especially anyone from DX/Kliq. I'm not playing it cool with actual celebrities i would like to hang with.
Find out what bar they regularly go to when they come to town.. They typically like the same spot, and you can tell cuz normally the owners have pictures of them hanging there all on the walls

They do have a military, with three branches no less (land, air, and sea) with about 150k soldiers.

Most famous was Michael Jordan he wasn't friendly like they say about him but I get it though. I wouldn't be the most friendly person either if I couldn't walk 10' without people asking for a pic or autograph.

Met Jesse Jackson at NC A&T campus he was actually pretty cool.

Met Tyler Perry only reason we met him because one of my best friends homegirl is an actor for one of his series. He was cool spoke to everyone but we was at a party that was wasn't really supposed to be in but she looked out.
