Not because I didn't think you liked hip hop, haha. I meant from a pro black angle. Seems like rap (a predominantly black genre) is the only one that pushes this animosity called "competition" at the top.

These beefs can turn 2 or 3 successful Black men into just 1, when instead they could have built together. It's a product of a divisive mentality.

Hip hop started as disco break beats being looped over and over and the MC on the mic had to adlib and improvise. The words that they came up with became meaningful. And then it became "i can say meaningful words better than you". "No you can't, lets battle". Battling just happened very organically

It's like a gift and a curse, it's a beautiful organic artform but sometimes it turns ugly and nasty and it's looked at as the only genre that does that (niggers)
