That's not what I was doing. I literally said that the song itself was going to get hijacked and it did. The amount of brands and entities that tried to make it a wave and jump on it was corny.
It had a real Black Lives Matter energy to it with the way non-Black people were going up for it and I'm sorry but shit like that will always be corny too me.
Don’t make me go pull the receipts from this encyclopedia ass thread. You definitely downplayed & acted like it wasn’t gonna be as big as it was.. so much so that you were hung up on curtain words like it was gonna delay the inevitable.
Either way the song was the number one song all year, I dunno what you expected.
