Idk if this has been posted or put out but I finally got clarity on the Ross Drake beef. Somebody on here kept telling me the French Montana excuse was valid but I knew it wasn't a good reason for 2 great collaborators to fall out

According to AK it's really started when pusha snuck Drake on Ross 2019 album. That caused Drake to not shoot a video for Gold roses, the Grammy nominated song they had on that album, so Ross had to cut Drake out the video version. That makes a lot more sense, so anything concerning weak ass French was just the last straw, not the Cause

I asked @Goldie but he didn't answer yet... May be you could

If the smoke was stemming from Gold Roses and Ross felt away, why did he give Drake the greenlight for Lemon Pepper Freestyle and You Only Live Twice verses during the same year?

Well because it still wasn't actual beef at that point, that was like the first straw. They obviously know working together is beneficial so they kept doing it. Ross probably wouldn't have said shit about Drake pulling the plug on people's projects if future and Kendrick didn't set the tone

Like if you listen to the end of Ross drake diss where he's explaining his reason, his voice sounded mad disingenuous for why he was dissing. He made it seem like the French Montana shit is the end-all be all reason for the beef but really it's stemmed from 5 years earlier, but like you realized they kept working together

Ross should have just said, whiteboy you been sabotaging projects for years instead of pretending to put on a cape for weak ass French, who never went at Drake publicly himself

Ross is just an opportunist. He'll insert himself in any beef for self gain but make it seem like he's fighting for the greater good by protecting the "weak"

Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and now French Montana

I could be wrong, but I think it's because Drake got some type of ownership at Gamma and whatever deal Ross & Meek got there, Drake is getting a slice out of their music

The while two or three things could be true (if the Gamma part is right), the cease-and-desists angle just sounds better for Ross to use as a final straw because it plays into how Drake be doing shit in the industry since 2009. I don't think Ross wants to talk about the inner dealings happening behind the scenes because that opens up a bigger conversation and could backfire on him like crazy

Ross got his bitch fucked too

Unless I missed something, I highly rate how French has just been quiet about the whole thing by not saying anything publicly

To me, it speaks to his character and that he truly valued his relationship with his peers. I'm sure him and Drake will smooth things out if they haven't already
