@Los216 ur missing the point that from the label s vantage Drake overperforming doesn’t matter to them if they used trickery to help him over perform

It does matter for two reasons.

One, If the label used trickery for Drake then all that does is make it clear that no artist is off limits but every artis would know this.

Two, it's not about the label using trickery. It's about the label using trickery in a manner that helps their position in a negotiation with another artist.

This is only a big deal because the label is negotiating with Drake.

Like I said before, why would Drake give a fuck about any trickery used for any artist? He's still going to make his money. But when that trickery is being used to influence the position of the company AGAINST Drake, then yeah he should have an issue with that. Every artist should.

There's a difference between a job weaponizing tactics to favor an employee on it's own vs weaponizing tactics AGAINST an employee that is negotiating with the company itself.

Not Like Us = Round 1 Victory
It has been a Not Like us year, it will end this Super Bowl

Or they just saw the song was a hit and promoted it as they do all of the other hits prior including Drakes

Were they not supposed to boost it because it’s a hit song dissing Drake?

@LurkerSix

I know you're emotional because your Heroes have been LOSING in 2024 but these are Facts

Drake and Kamala represent your safe nigga saviors. They are both the heroes of the non-threatening. Mixed immigrants that look the part but don't stand for shit, that's why you love them

And they were both defeated by fed up, proud black Americans. Something you'll never be. Coward.

You're missing the point.

You (Drake) are a manager at a job (UMG). Your job status, compensation ($150K), etc, is heavily based on performance. The better you perform, the more work and opportunities you have to do and earn more. You're the top manager at your job. There's another nigga (Kendrick) who is also right there with you. His job status and compensation ($125K) is up there with you. If you ask people who the best manager is, there will be close to a split between you and this other nigga.

Over the last 15 years, you have been the clearly more dominant manager in terms of performance. Everybody might not like you, but damnit you get the job done and you put up numbers. You move units better than anybody. Every project that you're on is productive as fuck. Everybody you work with experiences success at the job, and you are the common denominator.

Now, like I said before, a lot of niggas at the job don't like you lol. You fucking all the bitches that they want to fuck lol. Everybody wants to kick it with you. You have the ear of the higher ups meaning, when YOU suggest something, they are more inclined to roll with it because again, you are the most productive nigga there. That other nigga is productive too though and behind the scenes, niggas like him more than you or should I say, niggas don't hate him as much as they hate you.........

Now your company is one of the biggest in it's industry and profits are at an extremely high level (largely due to you and your success and performance). There's an opportunity for you to strike one of the biggest and most lucrative deals in the history of your industry. While you are negotiating this lucrative deal ($350K) with the higher ups at your company, there are entities at work that are evening the standing of you and that other top manager.

So let's say the terms of the deal you were negotiating included language in which you were due to make $350K annually. That's a $200K increase from where you are at but like I said, you have been that nigga and profits are high ass fuck and the ends is meeting like a muthafucka at the job right now. So a deal this big obviously takes a while to complete. Months maybe even a year or so but the more time that passes, the more the compensation changes. You keep being productive as well as the other nigga but like they say, yesterdays price is not today's price.

So now you're asking for $500K and to be honest, them niggas got it and you have more than earned that $500K. Hell the other nigga should be asking for $500K too.......

But, the job has their initial offer of $350K and you countered with $500K. What happens next at the job is this. The higher us in the industry are making more than you obviously but they are starting to question the idea of elevating someone like you who would still be below them but are 15 years deep in the industry, and by not being a higher up, they're questioning if paying you the $350K is even worth it considering that there will be other workers after you and if they set a standard by elevating you to $350K that could be consequential for the higher ups in the long run.

Remember, you are that nigga so you could always say fuck this job and start your own INDEPENDENT company in the same industry and chances are you'll be very successful. How successful you'll be is unknown but there haven't been many workers like you who have come through the job so it's looking good for you either way.

So while you're negotiating your deal, entities at work are actively working to even the standings of you and the other nigga to the point where now the job has a real valid case of paying both you and the other nigga the $500K you asked but why would they do that when they could just.............elevate both of y'all slightly but less than what one of you would've gotten had you been elevated individually.

The entities at work are pushing the other niggas projects and taking more of his suggestions than yours. You're still a top earner but you have company at the top now........So, while you are negotiating a deal for YOU, the company is actively elevating your biggest competition in an effort to better position themselves to not pay you what you asked for ($500K) and instead counter offer with some bullshit like $325K for you and $300K for the other nigga which is basically splitting YOUR initial $350K offer into two and giving it to both you and the other nigga.

At the end of the day, you still got your big pay bump, but you biggest competition got an even bigger pay bump even though you still make more (slightly) but now you both hold equal influence. Niggas at work are happy to see that you didn't get what you wanted too so there's that.

This is why I said that at the end of the day, why would Drake care how good Kendrick is doing at work UNLESS, what Kendrick is doing at work will ultimately impact how Drake is perceived at work if the higher ups (UMG) have any influence on that which is what Drake saying.

If the higher ups at work weren't involved, then YOU would get your $500K and the other nigga would even still get his $325K, but you still got your $500K so why would you be mad?

Unless...........they played you.
Interesting analogy. I'd like the point out one thing. If we're going by allegations, then he would be an employee that was cool with everyone when he just got hired. They worked together to help rise up in company ranks. Then when he rose to the top and got his promotion in a mgmt position, he starts shitting on his peers n throwing his weight around to look cool. And stealing others work and passing it off as his own, to still get praise from mgmt or just for his own amusement.

All those lower level employees arnt going to like that & see whats going on. So of course they'd lean more to your rival especially if they see your rival as a more stand up person.
