I think Drake trying to laugh the pain away. Kendrick's rollout has been flawless and there's nothing Drake has been able to say that has shifted any momentum his way.

If he releases, it's just going to get dissected to shreds. If he doesn't, then he concedes he lost.

And I'ma keep it a buck but I was listening to some of my favorite features that Drake has done and I really can't unhear Kenny's points he's highlighted about him. Nigga does sound cringe now. The "Drake when he acts tough" does ring a lil different now.

I don't think Drake is finished by a long shot. Meek never really recovered from what Drake did cause well, he's meek. Drake needs to really time off and have some life experiences that resonate more with fans that have grown up during his time in the rap game. He's still capable of making bops imo, but that might need to take a back seat and he gets back to actually penning his raps instead of outsourcing them to keep up with the output is projects he's been putting out.

If he wanted to keep battling he’d have dropped something by now. Every day that goes by without one diminishes the impact it could have.

And that’s only because he created the drop soon or you lose narrative.

Same here. Although Drake talks tough at times, I see it as typical rap hyperbole and don’t take it as him reflecting his real life.
 
I just assumed it was an unwritten rule we know a large majority of these rappers only shooting rhymes, they catch lyrical bodies, rap is like the wwe just be entertained and try not to look too deep.
