The funniest part of this all is the Drake fans trying to downplay Meet the Grahams and hijack it with talks of proof like we've ever given a damn about proof in previous rap battles. They cling to the potential of no daughter existing to try to squash the entire thing. That was the unheralded red button. It's like Ghostface calling Drew Barrymore at the beginning of Scream.. starting off with mildly threatening words and it slowly escalates until the nigga starts describing her movements and she realizes the person on the other end of the phone is in the house with her watching her.
That's a direct message that he already had Family Matters and his whole gameplan tapped. A lot of visitors to the culture don't understand how sinister West Coast folks can move when they want you touched for real for real--symbolically or otherwise. Don't even have to be from there or have ever been there. We've observed and lived this shit if you're really of hip hop culture. The visitors "don't know nothin' 'bout that."
And he's been calling him a liar continuously on every single song and threatening the rabbit hole goes deeper. I really don't think it's a music thing alone anymore just observing how shits playing out and I don't think continuing this serves Drake's best interest and I think he's realized that himself. Can't be a business unto yourself and having stadiums full of families and nationally syndicated broadcasts doing a call and response calling you a predator.
