I don't care about rules I just think certain things are corny. Drake threatening to slit a nigga's throat is wild corny. If the purge was real he would be a house nigga. This shit weird why all the sudden is there rulee and codes of conduct in beef records that aint hiphop
I have no dog in this fight.
Drake has said some coon shit in the past, and KL hasn't, as far as I know, so if anything at this point I was more disposed to be on KL's side.
I don't even listen to new rap anymore.
This exchange of diss records has been going back and forth for a while now. Was I the least bit interested? Not really.
But yesterday I saw a thread about DJ Vlad that concerned KL's "Not like Us." So I decided to give the full song a listen.
Honestly, I was surprised at how terrible it was. Truly terrible.
Even then I still had no real interest in listening to any of Drake's tracks.
But then I came across Drake's "The Heart Part 6" without really looking and decided to press play.
That shit is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than "Not like US."
Lyrically, Drake is in a different universe than Lamar. Shit is obvious.
So what are we arguing over?
If you are a KL fan and are going to remain so no matter what, just say so.
But I am old enough to remember when rap battles were about the quality of the diss tracks. And in this respect, there's no question that Drake is getting the better of Lamar.
So, again, I don't see what y'all are arguing about.
@Mods, close this thread.

Drake better hope this the caseUnpopular opinion part whatever:
Come to think of it... Not Like Us is flames right now, but I don't think it'll stand the test of time though due to the pedo allegations being all up in it (pause), it'll ruin the replay value if Drake continues to reach or maintain success and is cleared of cases thrown at him
The song would've been fire same way if he was just styling and clowning on Drake and OVO for the sake of it without the pedo shit
I don't think people understand what I was trying to say.
All I was saying is if you forget about who you like, who revealed what about whom, and all the extra shit, and just focus on the quality of the songs, Drake has shown that he's a way better rapper than Lamar.
Back in the day, Drake would be considered the winner considering solely the music.
I wasn't aware that how people judge rap battles have changed so much.

Yeah that corny as hell and trying to take the sting out of the shots he took.. by trying get a proverbial screen from his stans makes him look like the sucka lame he is..Because this is getting ridiculous. Just rap against the nigga and let us decide who made the best raps.
You yelling “yeeesss haha gotcha!! I planted those lies so everything you said isn’t true, bounces off me like rubber and sticks to you like glue”. Ok he just whooped yo ass wit fiction then… I don’t care at this point for the stunts and shows.
I hope it was planted. And now Kendrick can make a dope bar about a nigga he killed on the set wit a prop gun like Alec Baldwin
You mean the Drake disses are going to sound even worse over time?
Yeah I think the vast majority here all agreed the whole Drake planting stories thing was a horrible strategy if true. He'd be better off if it was a lie tbh
I think niggas just have the timing wrong. I think people believe that these songs were made in the order that they were released and that's not true.
I forgot who said it but they mentioned that Kendrick had like an 18 minute diss song. Push-Ups ends with a snippet from Family Matters. Plus Drake had to shoot the whole Family Matters video.
I think Kendrick got some info from an OVO leak and Drake tightened up and that's when they sent the invalid info. Kendrick used the fake shit like the daughter and then Drake shot the video. That's why he said you're digging for dirt and should be digging for proof. That's also why I think Kendrick stepped on Family Matters so fast. He knew that Drake would mention the fake shit so he put out Not Like Us 15 minutes later and dropped the whole angle about the kids.
Also notice how calm Drake's demeanor is at the end of Family Matters and on The Heart Part 6. He's rapping like a nigga that knows he's ahead. Kendrick was rapping like he knew he needed to make a hit to drown out Family Matters.
The story planting was in response to Kendrick saying Drake had a leak and Kendrick bit too hard on it. That's why Drake went so hard at the end of Family Matters and even provided the visuals.
He really tried it
I'm gonna need you to name a rap battle from mainstream artists beefing that was about the quality of musicI don't think people understand what I was trying to say.
