He had the fall and winter of this year, as well as part of the spring of the following year.

Mainstream Hip Hop was in full decline by this time. Notice that on those albums posted (except Waka Flaka) they were all on each others albums. Watered down...

1. Kanye West -Dark Twisted Night Fantasy

2. Eminem - Recovery

3. Kid Cudi - Man on The Moon 2 : Mr. Rager

4. Waka Flocka Flame - Flockaveli

5. B.O.B. - The Adventures of Bobby Ray

Just to back up why I chose Waka over the others, the man literally had 4 of the biggest hits of 2010...

All of these songs were THE club bangers of 2010. I’m not a Waka fan, but it would be wrong to overlook his run. He had the game on lock for a hot minute.

easily Kanye. had hits and acclaim.

Drake wasn't huge but he was a growing star, it took him a while to go plat and none of his singles were as big as Best I Ever Had.

Waka had some club bangers but I don't think he had much acclaim. If the question was "who had the biggest breakout in 2010?" then I'd probably say Waka. Sidenote: Where's Waka these days?

Em and Wayne had alright albums but were successful because of their reputation and status at that point of their careers.

Ross hit his peak and I'd say Teflon Don is still his best album 8 years later.

Man On The Moon 2 is my favorite Cudi album.

Ugh... I was disgusted with rap for the most part this year.

But Kanye had that GOOD Friday series leading into his album, which was pretty good despite trash ass "Runaway".

Ye got it.
