I’d say Dre the real MVP of ‘99. Classic album that was everywhere, & brought one of the most polorizing MCs ever into the spotlight. Dre reasserted himself as a heavyweight in the game.

Plus Dre/2001 didn't start to make noise until the fall of 99. Cash Money had the whole year.
