Who Ran Hip Hop In 1994

Kid Capri, DJ S&S and Doo Wop.

93/94 is when the mixtape industry started to take off. Rather than buying albums, cats on the East Coast and Tri-State were buying mixtapes.

Also DJ Premiere was a problem. He produced Hard To Earn and The Sun Rises In The East. He also produced a song on Ready To Die.

Best answer tbh

It's definitely one of the most balanced years hip hop has ever seen. Everyone came through with at least one classic. North, South, East, West, Midwest. I'd kill to see at least half those regions with the same consistency today.
