Haven't even finished watching the series yet. This is just another classic example of the mentor instilling in the pupil a way to live, morals, values and character to live by.
The pupil takes all of that in and lives by that with no exceptions and finds out that the person who taught them all this is a fraud and not living and standing on what he taught his pupil to never compromise on.
So the pupil raises up against his mentor because he now a grown man and sees the mentor as a fake and fraud and lets it be known. Then shit falls apart from there because some know the mentor ain't living right but let that shit slide and some find that out and don't let that shit slide cause they putting their lives on the line for what they were taught and made them better men.

For what? What’s the point of reopening the case? One of the actual shooters (cause he was also shot from above by a govt hitman if you ever dig deeper) is dead. And the Govt isn’t gonna incriminate itself. This is aimless and triggering to reopen the case.
