Mines is Sergio Leone he brought back the western genre in the mid 1960’s after it had fallen on hard times. His take on westerns brought more attention to the Spaghetti Western genre and he spawned a handful of Italian directors that followed his path directing western films. Leone is also responsible for thrusting Clint Eastwood into fame as he portrayed The Man with No Name character in all three movies. The Spaghetti Western genre reinvented older actors like Lee Van Cleef, and it started a trend where older American actors could find work in Spahetti Western films. This is why Sergio Leone is my favorite Director!
