Has no one tried telling this idiot that countries don't usually pay the tariffs. They just jack up the prices of their products and the consumers pay. I can't believe he went through his whole presidency and still didn't learn that. Maybe he knows but believes his followers are to stupid to understand.

The other thing no one says, is if China gets too expensive to buy from because of the tariffs, companies buy from other countries with labor cheaper than the US but still higher than China. Then they pass that increased cost to consumers.
If they do bring it back to the US, labor is highest here so consumers will be paying a lot more.
So no matter what, prices go up with tariffs. The only US companies protected are those who make the same thing China makes and have found cost cutting initiatives to get close to competing. Tariffs just get them over the edge.
