This was predicted by the B1 grassroots. Once Juneteenth became an official holiday that means it can be monetized and that means it will be gentrified

But tbh Africans hijacked juneteeth first and has nothing to do with them either. it's an exclusive black american holiday..it was anyway

Juneteenth is a TEXAS Holiday. I don't know why Black People kept advocating for this to be a Black Holiday, but I never liked it, ever since I 1st moved to Tx in the mid-90s and heard about it. Why are we celebrating a Holiday created by a State that freed us OVER 1 1/2 yrs after the fact? That's insulting and condescending.

Not surprised White People co-opted this Holiday. Think pieces wrote about this shit as if they were pretty much making fun of Black People for celebrating this Holiday. A much better Holiday would've been celebrating the 1st State to free Slaves.
