I thought that too, but the African team could be tough especially if the rules of the tournament are more like the 80s/90s. That team would basically have the paint on lock on both ends of the court. Sure they'd be giving up threes, but they'd have a much higher shooting percentage and would be getting all the rebounds.

Do you actually think the European team could score on the African team in the paint? Do you actually think the European team could stop the African team from scoring in the paint? If your answers to those questions are "no," then you're acknowledging that the European team would have to do most of their scoring from the perimeter which are inherently lower percentage shots. On top of that, the African team is a better rebounding team, so it's not like Euros are going to be able to run and gun.
That wouldn't be as one sided a game as you're making it seem, and the African team might dominate the other teams even moreso, which is actually what matters in a round robin setup.
