The entire concept of somebody having a ready made top 50 list of rappers to list is silly as fuck. Most niggas don't even listen to that many damn artist to begin with and alot of those put on those top whatever list don't even make music anymore so the rankings are basically "what does their music mean to you" not actual skill and talent level. That's why you're getting the responses you are.

Also...you're not really looking for a discussion you're looking for people to agree with you which is why you're telling posters who share your opinion "thanks for being honest" instead of "list 43 rappers better than him to prove your opinion"

So if there was a thread asking where does Hmmmm idk where Snoop ranks there would be this many responses dodging the question and saying other things to try and justify not giving an answer?
 
I helped spark this thread and as a solo artist he in the top 200-300 for me.

But ,his rank would be higher for a person born and/or raised in the south who only likes southern rap/hip hop

I got put on to UGK when "Tell me Something Good" used to get played in Alabama when I went to visit my family in the south before I lived in GA.

But,UGK as a group is top 50 -100 group.

Trust me,you'd be hard pressed to find somebody who loves traditional boom bap and technical lyrical hip hop as much as me
,but my personal ranking doesn't have anything to do with what he meant to ppl and ppl in south viewed Pimp as a legend before he died.

And other regions respected UGK which made them in high demand for features leading to Jay requesting them when Jay was smoking hot musically.

even if you dont like his flows we saying fuck the hooks, the production, everything?

its probably 250 rappers in one NYC housing project but they ALL better cuz they got "the bars"?

cuz watch this......Snoop is the bigger better artist.....i'd rank him very high overall.....but I listen to way more UGK/Pimp C

a list says nothing about whats in the deck playing every day

everything else was Pimp C presents or a mixtape if it wasnt UGK
