What's Crossing The Line When Reporting News?

You have no one to blame but yourself to watch a video of someone dying, no one made you press play. This site had the dead video of XXX right after he was hit, the cop shooting the guy who shot at her first and like someone said earlier the taco bell shooting. Don't wanna watch it then don't but that shouldn't stop people who wanna view it.

To me personally you post w/e that's out there because people shouldn't be coddled when dealing with real life events and how bad it can be in various aspects of life. People need to see the gritty and dark side to things.

But I would say as long as you aren't using sensationalized titles and clickbait tactics then it's fine. You can have integrity that way

Just post disclaimers

reason why i say you gotta have a code, because if you don't' you absolutely will contradict yourself..

like say george zimmerman, or trump get popped.. nobody gonna give a fuck about their death pics being posted, or jokes

but let it be a beyonce or jay-z.....

it'll be like nipsey where we want respect for the dead.........

I think as a reporter or someone who is in the field of getting celebrity news and stuff I think it’s almost expected that you would post all the info, no matter how inhumane.

Although it something I choose not to look at it, it’s all over the internet. It’s on you to not press play.

journalistic integrity.

how do you want to be viewed is all that matters and only you can answer that question.

you cant please everyone. But you can please yourself(NH) with how you do things.

Social media has definitely played a part in society becoming desensitized.Folks more concerned wit being the 1st to post to garner likes.

But like AZTG stated...follow YOUR own moral code. If you don't feel right posting it...don't. Just b/c others do it, doesn't mean you have to. You can still tell the story w/o vids or pics.

Damn if you do, damn if you don't. If you don't post the news there are those who are like why can't we have access to such and such. Then you have those who like nah stuff like that shouldn't be broadcasted.

You can't be worried about what viewers on this site look at when just a few clicks away on this same forum is a plethora of porn to look at.
Just saying.

If its facts... post that shit my nigga.
If it might offend preface that shit and add spoilers to avoid any complaints.

Personally I want the whole thing the good the bad the ugly. As long as its facts and truthful.

Like Denzel was saying in the video don't rush to have the shit up first rush to get all the facts and proper information first.

unfrtubaltey once you entr the realm of customer service, you do have to care what people think about you, and that's a hard compromise for some people who typically move without concern of ridicule..

-Reporting outright lies or half truths knowing you dont have all the necessary information

-Reporting things in bad taste ie showing Lauren London walking into the hospital

-Posting shit you dont really care about just because everybody else is talking about it

Tbh.... Reporting is a dirty business.

You have to define your personal code and stick by it..... Or else you'll be compensating your integrity for the story every time.

The reality is someone is going to break every story. You just have to know how far your"re willing to go to be that guy
