Most disses don't for the most part. For the most part it's judged weather the shots back n forth were good or not.

It's not like diss records have always hurt someones career.

Not always. But they can certainly impact how people look at you and show blood in the water far as how your peers see you. "Ether" changed how alot of hip hop fans looked at jay. Didn't derail his career, but changed the narrative. It wasn't until American Gangster that Jay the rapper got back right in the eyes of alot of fans. Pusha got drake looking funny in the light out here and the term getting "ja ruled" exist for a reason. The right diss can cause ALOTTA damage. Drake "back to back" hurt meek something serious
