Ace Hood was always a boring artist to me. He had a lil flow but he wasnt saying anything.

I never got the feeling that he was an album artist. What I mean by that is, he came off as a singles artist. Those artists don't usually get a solid fanbase and once they don't have a dope single out consistently, is a wrap.

Nothing like lil jon...jon hardly ever rapped.. lil jon was to Crunk like uncle luke was to bass music..neither ever came across as rappers..

Nothing about him stood out. He had those hustle hard and go get it records that made him spark but he couldn’t carry on his own..

He also kind of fell into the generic “make a song with an R&B singer and hopefully get a hit record” scheme….that doesn’t work for long if you can’t stand out on your own..

If you can’t stand on your own as an artist you’ll never last long.

Every rapper with longevity has always shown that they can consistently stand on their own two feet and still make a hit..
