OPINION What are your thoughts about designer brands now China has ruined the allure

There is minimal innovation from China. But they are doing it to benefit themselves which I respect. But if you get got by them outside a reliable source to save money, your shit is gone.

they know their time is coming, that’s why they are trying yo buddy up with Southeast Asia now.
But India and Mexico are places to take production and manufacturing to also.

hmmm you dont think they doing ANY innovation?

do some of their phones have some of the best cameras around? Is that stolen tech?
Their electric vehicles.. dont think theyre doing any innovation in that space at all?
 
With these kind of products You not paying for the material, you paying for the service but whatevs. I don’t buy too much of it, but i respect the game.

Building on something that already exists isn’t innovation to me.

Me taking a BMW ev vehicle and making a few changes to the car by putting in a reclining chair and keeping my drinks cold doesn’t make me an innovator. I’m adding to it . Maybach been had fridges and reclining chairs.

If the base of an idea and the science and research behind it is already done, I’m adding to it now.

Chinas military is based off stolen tech and refurbished Soviet tech.

Robotic tech? Stolen and built on.


Maybe I was too aggressive with saying they don’t invent much . Some of the stuff they have is practical and I haven’t seen elsewhere. So I take back a bit

Much of it stolen from the US.

While I can't openly discuss the specifics of the company I worked at, I can say that pretty much every DoD contractor from Boeing to Raytheon has been hit by the Chinese at some point.

I know, their equipment is all in level 3. So they actually have control of our internet access. Their chips are in our military equipment. Their version of out nsa is 100 times as big.

I mean innovation is taking something thats established and improving upon it tho aint it? lol

And ok if they stealing, whats stopping US manufacturers from looking at them innovations and saying damn even tho they stole some shit.. thats kinda a good idea... we can improve our shit by doing x, y and z

This is an interesting read. Many of those luxury brands have like NDA contracts that don't let the factories tell who they produce for. Also, some parts might be constructed in China but the shipped to another country to put everything together. Some of those bags are hand made so different factories take care of different things. Sorta how car factories work.
