A car jacking is extremely violent in nature thats not a stretch from murder ..while its true .. you can't predict what one does next... you dont just one off these type of crimes
Some people get the same sentencing and turn their lives around. Unfortunately this one kept doing the same thing and it cost somebody their life.

Sad to see things like this with someone so young. Was watching something on vice documenting car jackings in New Jersey. Car jackings are generally on the rise due to technology. A lot, not all, of car jackings happen due to the difficulty of trying to hot wire newer cars.

Probation only works when the person who gets probation is in the mindset to stay out of jail. That’s the issue with the criminal system. There is no real investigation into what a persons life is like. Jobs nowadays do background checks, credit checks, social media checks, asks for references, and shit. How the fuck employers are more thorough than the law.
They do a thorough investigation into this young fella and see all they are doing is sending him back into the same shit, instead this time he got probation around his neck. What was his life like, what is his life like, what opportunities does he have, does he a have a reason to want to stay outta jail other and not being in jail?
They need to build a city in one of the open vacant states, where they can send young men like this to, where they can get real mental health treatment..basically rebirth these lil mufuckas,have analyst figure out what talents these kids have and introduce them to shit that feeds into their talent.

If he used a deadly weapon for the car jacking at some point he’s clearly gunna escalate his crime as most criminals tend too, if he did he should of done time.
probabtion at 17 for a carjacking seems suitable.
