What Are The Best Martial Arts Films of All-Time?

Another dope one actually based off the anime series basilisk. Live action dope as fuck. Trailer doesn't do it justice but fight scenes are grade A ninja fuckery with powers and shit

Agree with what most posted.

One of my hidden gems. Came out in 98 and the fighting cgi and story was top notch. One of my favorites

Was basically live action anime how it was supposed to be done almost 30 years ago..

Why I get annoyed sometimes with kive adaptations of anime..

Nah b, Fung Wan wasn't Japanese anime, it was Chinese manhua. I went through this whole phase of collecting as many Chinese comics as I could find back in the early to mid-90's, and it was mostly Jademan Comics stuff like Iron Marshall, Oriental Heroes, and The Force of Buddha's Palm, but I did have a few issues of Fung Wan, which was published as Storm Riders when it was brought over here.

For the longest, I used a pic of Wind as my online avatar almost everywhere I had an account. I think I saw maybe 10 minutes of this movie on HBO or something well over 20 years ago and never circled back to it.

I meant what they were doing was like anime. But I guess more japanese anime translation would be the one I posted above. Shinobi.

Both top tier flicks IMHO.

I never really was into comics of any form. Don't really read to many books these days either. When I used to was more ob zen philosophy sorta. My favorite book is Secret Tactics. Read it about 4x already. As I get older every time I go back learn something new as your "mind shifts" and "matures" as you age. Should probably read it again. One of the few books I have on my phone from buy off Google books ha.

I had a crazy collection of kung fu flicks on DVD. Probably still stored away in the attic somewhere. I guess it would be easier for me to just say anything with Jet Li and Donnie Yen are my favorites. Tony Jaa is up there too.

Of course Bruce Lee is the goat, but he’s like the 60’s Celtics and these other guys are like the 90’s Bulls for me. Hard to compare different eras but I know which one I personally enjoyed more.
