This was a test run pretty much since the movies most likely have no interest in putting him in them. He has a good response for his part in AOS but Marvel Netflix is booked as it is. Defenders this summer, JJ s2, DD s3, Punisher filming now too, and Luke Cage season 2.

im actually kinda pissed at how all this played out tbh...so, present day barry gets a memory and automatically, the remnant gets that same memory, but the remnant can do something but present barry doesnt know? How is it possible present day barry didnt know savitar had something planned to block the speedforce cannon?

That tech that was used earlier in the episode to turn Barry into Diggle's wife will come into play to save Iris. I think Iris and HR switched places and it's actually HR that died yesterday.
The time remnant is from the future fight with savitar when Barry created a bunch. He killed all but one. The one remaining was shunned by team flash as not the real Barry
So he's always a future version of the Barry we're watching.

yea, and an awesome explainer for time remnants..thawne made sure each one was killed, cuz if you leave one alive, it could cause problems...
