I'll be there the week of september 11. Can I borrow somebody card for some hookers... asking for a friend
 
If you like to party or lounges, go on U street. Dupont circle is live as well. Of course you have the museums. You don't have to do advance tickets for the African American museum. That is mainly for out of state folks and that is why they be sold out. If you go on there site and do same day ticket, you can get a few. Just have to wake up in the morning when there ticket system open online. You won't need a car if you stay in dc. The subway metros are going through a complete over haul the next few months so they won't run as frequent. And they are single tracking.
 
Cancelled my trip in September, but am now going the second week of November. Staying right along the Potomac river.

Wondering if cats can list their favorite Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurants and spots to listen to live music

It ain't as bad as it used to be but you still liable to catch a stray and die or stabbed.

In DC either the area is fully gentrified or you can still get got. It's really no in between. There are white people in areas where they paid 500K+ for a house but right across the street you got a family with members who live with grandma and all the other still living at they folks house still act like is the 80's & 90's niggas still hustling, drinking and gambling on the corner LLS.

Yea but then you need a permit to be on that side of the street... I hate with a sincere passion driving into DC... I rather metro in and metro out

I got lucky: the place I booked comes with a parking space. I had to pay a bit extra, but it's worth the money to me to be able to leave my car somewhere cool every night

That doesn't bother me cause I'm used to that and that mostly happens when folks who live there have gone or should be at work. I don't drive to work in DC parking to expensive whether its the meter or a garage. Then add to that the traffic, wear and tear on your car plus gas. You cheating yourself.
